If you wind the clock back to around a year ago, you might recall something called the 'Wall of Death' making an appearance at Converse's Empire Games event in Montreal. This time around, they've gone for the 'Drop of Doom' – which, as you might expect, is a contest to determine who can plunge from the highest point of a vertical drop-in.

Phil Dulude, the same guy who won the last event, came out on top with a mind-blowing 20 foot drop-in, 10 feet of which were completely vertical. He bailed after the transition, but it was enough to see him edge out the competition regardless, while Cody Cormier and Leon Chapdelaine each managed to plunge 13ft skating switch. This is some seriously ballsy stuff. We're keen to see what they come up with next year...
