Worst day ever at tafe, on me big lunch brake at Gymea pub having a counter lunch and a few beer playin ping pong and pool, than had too go back to tafe and start a project and put a 1/8 drill bit though my hand god dam it, it hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how crazy is it when its right above you. It happens instantly with no warning and sounds like an explosion. I was under our carport once when it happened. so frightening
well i’m sitting at work here doing nothing and it’s not by choice so it’s rather demoralising.. thinking about what to get for lunch think i’ll get the sizzling thai beef salad again since it’s pretty awesome.
also thinking about getting some new snowboard pants… crotch in my volcoms has ripped again after being stitched up earlier on in the season. Not to mention they look pretty haggard and the waterproofing is shot, not realy an issue unless it’s puking with snow or its raining haha
as much as i’d rather be chopping wood I think they’d notice me missing from work..

Mostly the empty chair.. then again.. half the team is off on ‘study leave’ getting a certificate thingy.. I got left off that since they know I’m resigning in November to head back overseas so didn’t want to spend the money on the course for me which is fair enough at the end of the day.

what do you do workwise finney?
I’m in user acceptance testing for optus, but also write test cases aswell so it’s not all execution. The team I’m in mainly tests anything new going into the main system used by sales, stores and customer care for the majority of new provide and change orders.
Due to my knowledge of business procuedures and rules I’ve worked predominantly on the major releases which go for a couple of months at a time as compared to a couple of weeks and cover end to end testing. So from the order being submitted in the front end system all the way through to the billing systems to ensure that everything works as it should and correct bills are issued etc.
Just a one week sort of dead patch we’re in at the moment which is great having just come off a 4-5week period of running the test lab and what not so it’s good to just sit down and not have the phone constantly ringing and people asking questions etc

I was across the road from a tree that was hammered by a lightning strike!!!! Everything turned into a ‘negative’ and little balls of light flew off in all directions, the ground rumbled like an earth tremor and the tree was left devoid of bark!!!!
I found out the next morning it hit a house bout 100m from our place. Screw that s**t! Hole in the side of the house! Left us without power and an expensive laundry bill LOL
