Yeah, marc rocks a pair, and he’s got a sweet freestyle act goin on for sure!!!!!
He also has them bolted onto the YES Tasmaniac, which is very similar to your Greats, so it could definitely be a good option!!!!!
Worth even sending him a pm?????
K2 867g that’s not bad im gonna weigh mine when I get home just to compare… But the Hurrithanes are soft from what I hear I’m leaning towards the Formula or Indy then those might be tooo stiff ill ask Marc hopefully he can give me some input here..
What about Company ?? Company and company ipo what’s the difference? just a random thought there
Formula wont be too stiff! Neither will Indys. Most their team ride Formulas. I realized I didnt have my baseplate or bolts in when I weighed them. With all that they werew ~953g
I’d take Hurrithanes over Indys. Indys dont have cantbeds. Neither does the IPO. The IPO has a softer tweaking highback than the Company.
@rider26: Pretty sure Unions don’t have canted footbeds. At least my contact pro did not have it.
I can’t speak for Rome but I hear the same thing about the weight
My Rome 390 Boss offer 3 different levels of canting (I’m using 2.0) They are fantastic bindings but have to agree they aren’t exactly light. (my previous K2’s were lighter but also infinitely shitter)

shhhhh they are timid little things and easily scared, not at all like the big and bold (bald?) FLUX_KumaSader’s

You saying the K2 were shittier then the Rome how so ??

They are vastly different bindings (K2 Auto vs Rome 390 Boss) so it’s a bit hard to give them a fair comparison. Basically the Romes are way more comfy, I never liked the Auto system on the K2’s it actually took longer than a traditional strap system. The K2’s were a tricky binding to get setup (things like highback rotation and forward lean were clunky) The Rome’s almost have too many adjustments and also take ages to setup but you feel better about it once it’s done compared to the K2’s. The K2’s looked good and were light but my riding immediately felt better as soon as I strapped into the Romes.
Don’t write off K2 because of my experience though. I reckon the Auto’s were just an experiment gone wrong.
I agree with autos. Stick to their normal two strap bindings

Yeah, they can get angry easy!!!!!
I’m definitely sticking with regular 2 strap bindings for sure I just hope they are as light as you guys say but they aren’t aluminum like Ride so they have to be dammit, if I go with K2 which is looking like I will, it will be between Formula or Hurrithanes it comes down to stiffness really and I still can’t figure out which will be better with the Stiff Evil twin for park use jumps mostly
Probably formulas will be perfect if ur worried about the flex of the hurrithanes.
I think I might go a different direction while I was looking around I found Salomon hologram bindings, I dont wanna jump the gun but they appear to have everything I want, canted, super light, flexible for grabs and stable enough for the big kickers any objections on these?? Also I’m a size 10 boot but the way Salomon size chart puts me right at the end of a M and right at the beginning of L. I’m thinking M because I think the L are for a wide board setups.
Wow, Lester, you seem to be always buying new gear!
I can’t really help with canted bindings. I know Burton sell a special cantbed for their bindings, but sounds like it’s not what you are after.
As for binding size, best to take your boots in and put them into both the M and L bindings to find out which fits best. I have 10.5 Burton Ions (probably bootprint of a 10) and I fit the M Cartels nicely but with the binding pushed all the way towards the heel of the board. The L Burton bindings don’t actually fit. Even if they did I would go the M as it’s more snug, smaller, and lighter.
