Thanks for posting the video, coho. That was actually pretty gnarly. Different style to skateboarding for sure; more rotations, no flips. I know a guy in Bondi who rips the bowl on a streetboard (he calls it a snakeboard).

Welcome to Boardworld. cool smile

Forgotten the guys name that rides the snakeboard in the bowl. Real decent guy and aces the bowl on that thing, gets some decent wobble when he start maching on it.

Jumping is pretty easy as your are strapped in, so its pretty much like snowboarding.  They weight about 5kg.

Sorry Andy, i forgot to answer your Question.

Yeah, it used to be called Snakeboard, which was really a brand name but Streetboard is the official name and what most people use these days.

The main Streetboard company is called ‘Dimension’.  Im not really sure who sells them in Austrailia (as im in the UK) but if you check out http://www.redpenmag.com you might be able to find out.  I know in Japan you can get them from http://www.streetboarding.jp

I think his name is Atiene? He actually used to sell them in Australia but I don’t think he had much luck with the stores.

Andy, I’m sure I could put you in touch with him. He would know where to get one for sure.

Yeah, probably shouldn’t buy yet another board lol. Everytime I come home from the snow I buy some form of plank to calm my need to snowboard. But I never do it religiously like I do with snowboarding.
I do wish I could try one though. I could try it and hate it lol.

I should probably just stick to normal skateboarding anyway so I don’t get linch mobbed.
Actually this gives me an idea…
