Hehehehe sooooooo smooth !!! But still, better than mine :(
nice carve, low enough to kiss the snow.
Now I have to up my freestyle game, which probably won’t be happening anytime soon. Turning and doing simple butters are so fun haha.

Start small and within your comfort zone, build skills, build confidence, and progress. You’re developed some nice skills on the hill, so think about how you can use what you’ve learnt in the park. How’s your switch riding coming along?
Not so good in comparison to how long I’ve been riding. I can do green and mellow blue runs slowly, no carving yet.
heck yeah skip!

Keep working on it and the freestyle skills will come.
Are you attempting any small features in the park yet?
Oh yeah, I hit small jumps and small flat boxes. I can do do Indy and Melon grab sometimes if I get enough air. But that’s about it. In terms of spinning, I can do small backside 1s off small side hits where 2 trails merges. And nico butter (frontside 180 to switch tail press to backside 180 out) is probably my favorite trick to do (but I can only do it frontside). Spinning frontside while tail pressing is another one I can kind of do but it’s not so good.
So that’s probably it for my freestyle skills haha
Good work. Keep working on your switch and more tricks and combinations will come. Once you’re comfortable with the small jumps, try carrying more speed and stepping up to a small medium jump.
any one got tips on practicing tricks at home on the carpet, specifically the 180? I usually end up with a 90 degree turn. Is it just me or is it harder to do when your static and on flat land as opposed to when your traversing?
It’s harder static for sure. Riding on an edge helps to initiate the rotation.
You can practice pre-wind and unwind during the static 180 to help you get the rotation around.

Definitely - I found that helped me the most with flat ground 1s! The further you pre-wind the easier the unwind/180 will be. Keep us posted!

I would also recommend the Snowboard Addiction videos. They are cheap and really good. I subscribe to their web download series and I find it really spot-on and very good value for money.
Hopefully catch you on your days to perisher then!
Another mini insta-edit of time in whis, back 3s in black park - check it out!
That was siiiiiick.
thanks for all the comments on the 3s guys - gets me stoked as! AJ, you going to be around perisher this year? would be awesome to get a day or two to shred with ya!
