oh the numbers refer to the stiffness? I had no clue. Normally people release version 1 then 2 etc.
I saw this on another forum for recommended bindings:
Flux rk30 or tt30
Rome 390 boss
nitro zero
I just assumed the rk30 are this year’s model and last year they were called the rk20. But wtf is rk and tt? how annoying to remember it? rome boss - got it, nitro zero - got it, flux bunch of random letters - nope!
[quote author=“Mizu Kuma” date=“1352316913To someone that hasn’t got any idea of the Burton Range, how does a Diode’s flex compare to that of a Cobra Shark’s?????
burton list a flex rating out of 10 on all their bindings
http://www.flux-bindings.com/20122013/en/products/index.html
Hover over the different binding images, and the ratings 1-5 for Highback Stiffness, Baseplate Stiffness, Weight and Price, will pop up!!!!!
RK stands for Road Kill, a term used in skate and therefore a fitting label for their Street/Park Jib Binding!!!!!
And wtf does “zero” tell ya?????
It’s a binding for losers?????

you’re missing the point. If they called it ‘road kill’, then it would be easier to remember and actually invoke some associative memories. sorry, but rk does nothing for me.
‘Zero’ is easier to remember than just random letters
I must be missin the point!!!!!
Probably why I can never remember that the Porshe 911 isn’t the right car to drive when I’m flyin my F111?????
WTF?????
I forgot to say FFS!!!!! LOL!!!!!
I have to agree with gamblor with this one. Flux should’ve actually put names on their bindings if it’s road kill, then Flux Road Kill will be far easier than Flux RK30 (or is it 20?). I think they used to have bindings called the Titan?
Back to the topic, I think I know why I didn’t like the superstrap. I think I prefer wider/bigger strap like the ones on Diode/Genesis, last year’s Vitas, and Union Contact Pro.
Maybe Lib Tech should call their TRS the Total Ripper Series then?????
sure, you can cherry pick abbreviations all you want but it doesn’t change anything. If you have one model like that, it stands out. If all your models are just 2 letters and 2 numbers then wtf?
You guys would struggle when it comes to motorbikes then?????
Whole ranges of dirt bikes have nothing but numbers and letters!!!!!
I really think it’s a matter of wether or not your’e interested enough to learn them?????
You guys obviously aren’t, and that’s hardly a downfall of the product!!!!!
And abbreviations are, and have been a part of life since the invention of the alphabet, so you can “cherry pick” all you want when it comes to your opinion also!!!!!
Another example,
And you bein a photographer too!!!!!
Shall we talk about camera models names?????
Or would you prefer that they had called your next camera the Nikon Death Ray????? Just to save any confusion!!!!!
over it agree to disagree boys?
