I LOVE my boss!
Now the problem is I don’t know what to do with it LOL!
go the Play store and fill it full of all those 25c apps that are now on special!
Can I turn it on now?
Do I need it hooked up to a computer to make it work in the first instance? (I have wifi I can access at work)
I have plugged it in to charge.
Can i go shopping online while it charges? How does the payment work? Is it like itunes? do i need to set up an acct with credit card at the app store?
SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!!
i dont think anyone can help you
hahaha SNAP!
that was funny, lanox.
Harmless joke, but a funny one nonetheless.
p.s. I have no idea what a nexus is. I obviously need help, too.
Its the tablet we were discussing in the iphone thread cords!
And its okay I realise that Lanox is just jealous! :-p
Nice one, Kim!
You need wifi to start using it.
You can start using it, however since it no doubt has a Li-ion battery, using it while charging may confuse the smart-charger a bit. Personally I couldn’t wait so I just went and used it on its factory charge and the battery life is still really good. If you can hold off, probably best to just stick it on the charger until it’s full - should only take an hour or two on top of the factory charge.
The payment system is similar to iTunes. It will ask you for your credit card details which will be linked to your google/gmail account then the Play store will just charge everything against that. You should have a $25 credit out of the box to play with.
Nice one, Kim!
How could you wait to play with your iphone5??
I was shaking with excitement i couldn’t open the box!!
Thanks Mud!
I will leave it for an hour or so and do some work (if i clear my inbox playing with this can be a reward!)
Lucky we have wifi at work!
Now all I want is instagram!
But what other apps should I get? In particular ones that are ridiculously cheap right now….
when you start Google Play (store) you will see a banner advertising the cheap apps. It is also easy to find the free apps, similar to how it’s done in iTunes. When I started with mine, I just searched for “essential Android apps” etc and found plenty.
Some apps I have on mine:
Weather Australia (the widget part is really good)
Aussie Weather (for the radar)
Evernote
Behance Action Method
a bunch of file managers including ES File Explorer
Google Drive
eBay
Facebook
Some public transport apps
MX Player - really good video player
ABC
SoundHound
Pocket
Flipboard (great app)
Kindle
Music Volume EQ (if you find the sound a bit quiet you can use this to boost it)
currently using the trial version of Swiftkey 3 as I reckon the default keyboard is pretty bad
