World Cup futbol ( or any soccer)

Avatar

Oh btw, if I choose a team, I’d be into some Italian team, I guess cause that is my family’s heritage.

edit:
Dude, Im stoked, I just looked up the Italian national team and they won the last Cup in 06 - Awesome, my team rocks!
They are the second most successful national team in the history of the World Cup.
Brazil has won 5 titles, and Italia has won 4.
Nice.

Double edit:
Hey has anyone ever won back to back titles?

Hey has anyone ever won back to back titles?

Brazil and Italy have both done it

Note..I`m scared to post results of Confederation Cup games because I don`t know if they are shown here (Canada) before Aus….I don`t want to spoil it for anyone..

.......Let`s do the Time Warp again…

Brazil /Italy today…I hope for a good game..(with Italy losing of course)
Brazil is already on to the next round anyway so I hope they don`t let up..I doubt that they will..Too much history between the two.

I still remember the Brazil v Italy final in 1994. I was in grade 6. Romario was the man. (note to self: go to bed).

and it ended that way..Brazil backed off and Italy had a few chances, but nothing sustained….
I said it was a great game but it wasn`t really..Just a great result…

(sorry snowslider….but at least your US team got in…Good luck against Spain..hahah , you will need a lot of it)

Brazil / Spain final looks like the best bet..That should/would be a great game

I have been a bit of a Portugal fan!!! I try to watch as much as I can

I find it hilarious when players fall and roll around as if their leg has been chopped off, and when they realize no one is watching they just get right back up and start running again

It’s only because you’re attracted to Ronaldo…

I love Ronaldo! I’m going to play like him one day!

Italy is in the World Cup. Host nation and current champions get automatic qualification.

Dave was referring to the Confederations Cup.

I guess the National team.
We are talking international futbol, I thought.

I went to a DC united soccer game once. They played some spanish speaking team (I dont know who).
And there was another game of 2 spanish speaking teams playing eachother.
There was more fights than a hockey game, not by the players, but from the crowd. One arrest after another.
Such a violent sport!

I might just cheer for Iran as long as they keep wearing their green armbands as a protest to Ahmedinejad….....

OK..I have to change my mind..The 6 players who wore green armbands are now suddenly off the team..It has been announced that 4 of them have “retired” and their passports have been taken away too..

FREE IRAN
