Just ordered an iPhone 5

As the title suggests, I just ordered an iPhone 5 on a new plan with Optus. I’ve been waiting to get a new phone for ages. My first generation iPhone 3 is dying and has been for a while (had it for over 3 years). I’m pretty stoked to be getting the iPhone 5. Purchased it on a 24 month plan with Optus. Paying $75 a month which includes the free phone. Unlimited text, $650 included calls, unlimited social media, 1.5G data.

I’m not sure why I’m starting this thread. Just excited about getting the new phone. I will let you guys know how it goes. Let me know if you have any questions etc. It should be here in the next 10 days. Please don’t turn this thread into an iPhone vs Android debate. They are all good phones and it just comes down to what you prefer.

Anyone else buying the iPhone 5? Anyone getting the new Samsung? I wonder how good the new 4G network will be.

First question, as a loyal Boardworldian and the standout moderator, can you buy me one to please
No need with the plan, I just need the handset

I think you will see one in my hand in the not to distant future

I got myself the 4S a month ago, and couldn’t be happier with it!!!!!

I did however change from OPTUS to Telstra (Even though I hated doing so), cause the reception of OPTUS in the Illawarra is sooo shithouse!!!!!

I’ll be interested how the 5 goes!!!!! Please keep us posted mate!!!!!

Yeah, back off!!!!!

Work might be moving to a BYO handset model, give us a phone allowance for the handset and provide the SIM and plans etc.  I see a Samsung S3 in my future if thats the case!

Youll have to compare it to the 4S for us to me, it sounds like the only difference is size?!

I have the 4s and don’t mind it. I wanted another Android phone with the S3 but due to work being pro iPhone, I didn’t have a choice.

I’m trying to get mine passed on and then upgraded to the 5 though. Fingers crossed lol.

Never used a 4 or 4S to compare it to (or 3GS for that matter haha). It’s also lighter and the processor is faster. Looks like the camera got an upgrade too. Keen to try out those new ear buds too.

Also the 5 has 4G, new OS, different charge/transfer port (which I thought was a stupid idea)!!!!!
