You’re right! That was even MORE awesome!!!
Damn I love that road. Some of my passengers . . . not so much.
Haha, Chucky.. you sound like me!! (Awesome video btw)
I do a lot of car cruises, and one of my favourite runs is Gaston Gorge.. Such an awesome drive, its got hair pins down a steep hill.. then various roads leading through bushland and along the Hawksbury river,

Last year on our way down to Jindy, we missed the Federal Hwy turn off, and ended up going through Yass and Gundagai.. and coming up over the mountain range and down past lake Eucumbene.. such a beautiful drive.. not only for the scenery.. but for the winding mountain roads… going past old Adaminaby, up the hill, was definitely a highlight! (we plan to do it again some time this year and stop and get photos.. and maybe some gopro footage of parts of the drive)
Also if you haven’t seen Rhys Millen’s climb attack Brazil, watch it.. he is drifting a Hyundai Genesis down this massive mountain road!
h0z, My favs.
Alpine Way, Thredbo to Wodonga +4hrs of endless driving pleasure.
Macquarie Pass (I’ve had it empty on a perfect sunny day)
Snowy Mountains Hwy, (section just West of Bemboka). But there are dirt roads to deal with getting into Jindy.
Last year I did 3 trips to the snow via Batemans Bay, the drive from there to Bungendore was nice (Kings Hwy) worth the extra 3hrs travelling (especially Nelligen - Braidwood).
Every time I’ve gone to do Tumit Plains Rd it’s been closed
We have so many fun roads in NSW - some of my local ones are great. I now have a great route I do from home to work (60km) that includes 2 gorges, 8 hairpins, 3X 100km zones (17km total), 2X 80km zones (10kms), one mountain pass (Bulli 450m drop) and only goes through 2 townships. There are 4 sets of traffic light, 2 outside work and 2 a few kms from home.
I can vary the route as well. It has very little traffic and I drive home after work at 2:30am
When my car is back on the road we should cruise, A LOT.
Sounds good.. we have done a few nato park runs down through bulli.. (over seacliff bridge) done a few Blue Mountains runs, with lunch at the imperial, my all time favourite cruise would have to be mount. Tambourine in south east Queensland.. (have driven to qld twice, both times did this cruise, with the guys in my Mazda club..)
We did Macquarie pass a few years back.. detouring through Wollongong to drop a friend off on the way to the snow, that was a good drive too…
Also loooove kangaroo valley..
But let me know and I’ll definitely go for a cruise!
I used to love going on car runs with the rotary club i was in.
Something about pushing a worked rx7 around corners (legally of course…) got me going haha
Haha yep!! So much fun!!
Car porn - the Tesla Model S.
Nice to see an ‘eco’ automobile (it’s electric) that doesn’t scream “Look at me, I’m a smug, sanctimonious wanker!” (yeah, I’m looking at YOU, Toyota Pious owners)
Looks like a Jag!!!!!

Nice, it’s about time someone produced an electric car that doesn’t look like an electric car lol.
Tesla is good.
What an inspirational story of one man changing the world. Such an apt name for his car company,
I forget the name of the doco/long news feature I saw on foxtel about him.
Stuck on a chairlift in 100mph winds
only about a 1min long
Oh and an favourite past time of this board. Watching skiers hurt themselves!
