haha, I’m pretty sure there is a river in Aus that is named someting like “Alans Face Rapid” because when Alan ran it, he flipped and scrapped his face all the way down.
I knew there was one! Lowies Face Rapid, in the Behena Gorge, Far North Queensland.

not sure if it has been mentioned yet but over at http://www.thredbo.com.au/mythredbo/ they have a 50% off one day pass thing going on until midnight. you should check it out
stoked going for my bike pre learner course on monday and tuesday.. hope im coordinated enough to pass hehehe
