The STOKE thread
I used to sign up to increase my credit limit.
In the early 2000’s my mate was starting up a business and needed cash to finance it - I used my no-interest-free-period card and loaned him the money.
BIG stupid risk!
But it paid off. 10years down the track his business is thriving and he gives me work every few weeks with decent pay.
(He paid off the loan plus the interest incurred within a week).
But it could have gone very bad with interest being calculated daily!
I split from a company I started with a mate with one of the guys that worked with me. Had to get a 20k card to set it all up. Was left with 18k debt when it all fell on its face. My mate paid me his half but I’ve just been paying mine down and balance transferring it around to keep the interest rate as low as possible. Hopefully my tax return clears all our debts this year bar the mortgages.
I won’t be using a credit card to fund a business again, if I don’t have it liquid then I should probably rethink it next time.
Stoked that Thredbo are FINALLY referring to their freestyle competition series as “Freestyle”, NOT “Freeride”. Bravo!!!
It looks my persistence is finally paying off.

yeah a mixture of rebellion against my parents and attraction to the “bad guy”... So cliche 
I remember in year 7 or 8, I was being all angsty and whinging to this pothead dropkick who lived on no hope street about how “horrid” my dad is and he just doesnt get me ya know? haha, pothead dropkick and I were planning on running away together! What a joke haha.
Haha that would have ended well!
On the upside, don’t you think Ash would be an awesome Mum? 
And we could have had a youngen come to the shred!
