BIGGEST SNOW JUMPS IN AUSTRALIA - STYLEWARS 2012 DAY 1
“yo yo yo its your boy r to the J comin at cha”............straight away i dislike that guy!!
But otherwise sick clip and CRICKEY those are some big ass jumps!
Beat me to it.
STYLEWARS has been going off. Amazing course and the riders are killing it.
Yo Yo its your boy R to the f*ckwit cumin at cha!
Apart from that knob, those jumps are huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge
Big huh? I dunno why but I don’t like the way the landings have been built up like that, takes away from the hugeness of it all.
On the 4th feature: I’ll give $100 to anyone goes from the cannon rail - airs the step up - and lands on the down rail…

Most parks are moving towards this style of jump. The air time is still the same, but it’s way safer if something goes wrong as the vert drop is much less.

The would have to be going K2 fast for that

Yeh, although they may not look as epic as the traditional stepdown jumps, they are much safer
agreed with AJ and K2….definitely miles, miles safer. Thankfully they’ve started building kickers in the beginner/intermediate parks like this, instead of stepdowns which make crashes so much worse.
Results after Day 2
Those jumps are huge they weren’t fully built last time I was up there, but the amount of snow they had piled up for them was insane. Would be sick to be able to hit those one day, even just getting the balls to straight air one.

I’m well aware of that as you might expect given my season thus far but they are built for pro’s not punters, make em big, make em scary, make them farken epic. I love seeing guys travelling what looks like 60ft up over 120ft kickers on the traditional step downs, this style takes away from that epicness IMO.
STYLEWARS 2012 FINALS - ANTOINE TRUCHON STILL SLOPESTYLE’S WORLD NUMBER ONE
Agree, not as gnarly (although plowing the middle out of the jump helps the illusion of bigger), but on the flip side you get better tricks out of the riders. From what I’ve heard, lots of those riders (lots without sponsors) where attempting doubles. Not sure that many would have been going for ‘it’ if they were ‘step downs of death’.
haha Jye’s backflip was so deep! sick course and shredding!
