Crackers I’m of the same opinion and sent them an email asking about it. Basically I was under the impression that because I bought one last year I was locked in for the same price this year as long as I paid the deposit by the end of September and didn’t have to worry about the chairlift and towers bullshit. Will let you know the outcome.
Yeh that is what I thought. Maybe it is the case that we do get the deal by just paying before September but I can’t find anything about it and its a pain in the arse having to look for it. It should be clear.
Has anyone actually seen this page? http://www.perisher.com.au/tickets-passes-accommodation/season-passes/freedom-pass.html
I am not understanding the benefits/and or reduction of benefits between buying now and say between towers 3 & 4.
Its not any reduction in benefits, it is the price that they are threatening will change…its says “buy now before any possible price rises”
Hence why I wanted to know if cause I bought one for this year that I had locked it in for next year as well without having to worry about price rises. Seems like they are just trying to cash in.

Thats what i thought but what about this
and if you buy between 3 & 4 towers you get free ski days this year!
yeah but what good are free ski days this year to people who already have this years season pass?
People who bought this years one would like to be guaranteed to be able to buy next years one at the same price…give them a date or whatever. I don’t get what is hard to understand about that at all.
Yeah whilst down at Perisher this weekend just past I brought up the same annoyance. One of the selling points of the freedom pass for this year was securing the 2013 pass at the same rate. From all the advertising I saw on the mountain it looks like there’s no actual difference/exclusivity to anyone buying the pass for the first time with this up in the air deadline.
Having said that I’m more than likely going to grab a 2013 pass soon anyway it would have just been nice to be made feel “special”

I agree cords!
But the rest of it is even more confusing - that’s just what I am saying.
Oh and the free ski is not for you it is for a friend - it is good for everyone!
So say if Nthn buys a season pass for himself and his gf he gets 2 ski days for the girlfriend this year! But it is only if you purchase the freedom pass between towers 3 & 4.

But they never promised you exclusivity. They promised that it would just be the exact same price!
ie they could have done a Thredbo and demanded the whole amount upfront now!
Uummm just abit worried i may have read it wrong now. I bought mine yesterday, between tower 1 and 2, all i want to know is do i get free night and first tracks riding?
Yeah exactly!! That’s whats confusing!
Just read it again! Yes you get those two!
If your with me you may as well get first tracks!
They have changed that page I linked too!
They have reworded this section!
To have the chance to be one of the first 3,000 purchasers of the 2014 Freedom Pass that will be able to buy it at 2012 prices. (Does not apply to Skitube Add-on pricing) and receive all of the benefits from towers 2, 3, 4 and Top Station.
There is no way Perisher will put the price up before Thredbo’s promotion period ends, which is 1Oct.
P.S. I got the tube just in case. For $50, its cheaper than driving up for a weekend with nat park passes.
