My friend just bought the 2010 Ride DH for his first ever time boarding, got a set of 2009 Burton Freestyle bindings and a pair of Vans (Forget model) boots.
Looks like a very impressive setup.

Short Board: Arbor Mystic 58 - Ride LX bindings (simple, efficient, ripp!). Nice and soft for those non-powder days.
Long Board (and current girlfriend): Prior MFR, 65 wide (black topo topsheet… sweeeet) - Flow NXT FX or Ride Spi’s (depending on how ‘clamped in’ I need to be)

Hey guys,
I’ve just finished putting together my first kit.
I got the board, bindings, goggles, gloves, and bag from Canada, as a relative was working Whistler last season and got them on the cheap.
The rest of it I picked up locally.
I’ve never actually boarded before, but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get my gear cheap from OS, as opposed to renting as I was planning.
Can’t wait to hit the slopes. I have to wait till mid Aug before we’re up there though.

eeros are comfy as, anyone thinking of a new boot, these things are pretty sweet, the twin lacing system is great but takes some getting used to if your coming from a normal straight lacing system…
tills your set up is great for a first timer, when i started i was using a salomon response directional with half a rail cut out. dude cut it sick….

I’ve got salomon boots from 08 but im not sure what exact models they are…
I got a cheapy (didnt wanna spend the big bucks while I was a beginner!)
