Needed to burn off the Easter eggs at work.

Have you tried will power? wink

Seriously I have been dieting since Oct and now a days I have shrunk my stomach so much that if I have a big meal or junk at the next meal I have a protein shake!

Yesterday I had a cupcake for morning tea and so at lunch I only had a shake.

I have been slowly losing about a kilo every two weeks and I happy with that pace cause hopefully it means I will keep it off.

When i was down Melbourne on Thurs i went to my old crossfit gym with my mate and got talked into doing the Crossfit Open workout 13.4.

Consisted of a 7 min AMRAP*;

3 clean and jerks
3 toes to bar
6 clean and jerks
6 toes to bar
9 clean and jerk
9 toes to bar
And so on and so forth

I got a score in the high 60’s i think? Fairly happy considering i haven’t lifted a weight or done toes to bar in 8 months and i wasn’t wearing appropriate clothing or shoes.

Haven’t posted in a while. But I was down to 78.4kg this morning! Down from 90kg at the start of the year (179cm tall).
Started doing BJJ, 2-3 times a week.

nice work mate. Any form of martial arts (especially grappling type) will get you super fit. The training is intense

No kidding, after my 2nd session/class. Did 4 x 6minute rounds and had to choke down the vomit.

I heard its very popular let us know how it is Deano

I daily visit you tube and surfing workouts videos and get some simple exercises that helps to lower my weight.
Even through internet I had started CYCLING to get benefit from nature as cycling circulates all blood.
In morning after riding cycle i will prefer some YOGA exercises which burns lot of calories as compared to any other.

So i finally joined a gym after procrastinating for ages.

Was walking past and stuck my head in and they offered me a decent deal so i joined. Its a stopgap measure until i go join an affiliated crossfit gym.

They are installing crossfit gear soon so see how that pans out, if its decent i will stay.

Been surfing a lot lately, went down for a surf this morning and it was very small and full with the morning high tide so I did some sand dune sprint training instead.  I find that sort of exercise really damn hard in the morning, a lot more so than in the arvo.

I keep thinking about joining a gym again especially now it’s coming in to winter, will see how I go in the next couple of weeks.

Then;

run 200m - 10 Toes to bar - run 200m - 10 knees to bar - run 200m - 30 GHD situps - run 200m - 40 leg wipers - run 200m - 50 sit ups

Was fairly painful at the time considering it was my first session back haha

I would have spewed after the first go round.  Keep that up for the rest of the month mate and you’ll be ready to spin front and back threes opening weekend ha ha.

I did another dune sprint session this morning.  perhaps I should clarify, after the first two that are about 70m uphill on about a 10degree slope, the following sprints are run until lactic acid stops my legs working after about 50m and walk the rest.  I start with about 500m soft sand jog to warm up and then do 5 of the sprints.  After the sprint I walk back to the start position as a rest and go again immediately.  When I do it in the arvo’s I do 10 sprints but my body just really doesn’t take kindly to that kind of workout in the early morning.

After that I took the SUP out in the tiny clean surf and cracked a few waves for about 40mins, been a good start to the day.
