Great TR mate
How does your board look now from the repair? You should whack up a pic!!
Yeeeeooowch!!! Haha - i’ve done that to me behind too at Hotham - couldn’t sit for a week!!!
^ No good without a pic, Billy.
The room in the bum shot - surely that’s not at The Station?
Gees have I let the place go that badly??
That’s a photo I took when I got home, kindly taken by my lounge with a timer set on my phone, all I had to do was smile for the camera.

Thanks mate, board doesn’t look too bad it kind of matches the rest of the damage it took in the lift lines over the week. It’s just white where the glue is and it has a strange hole on the edge above the metal.

Ouch indeed! it is exciting checking for new colours each morning though. I’m slightly worried as there a hard solidish bit where it took the majority of the impact. Hopefully it’s just inflammation that will go with time.

Well played sir

May well be a knot of muscle spasm that needs releasing. keep heat on it (sit on a hot water bottle/heat pack), and maybe go see a physio - get them to get the tingles on it or ultrasound…maybe even an ass massage!
Great report Drc! I’d have a go at one for the days we came down but you’ve basically covered everything now and I’d probably get done for plagiarism haha
I notice there’s still another reserved spot, more still to be added?
How the backsides doing well, can’t wait for the next trip! I’m not going down but Alec is at the end of the month, maybe check in with him if there’s a spare bed because they had a couple but not sure of they’re still free

Mate it might not, when I was twelve I was on a flying fox and stopped myself with my arse into a tree. I still have a lump at the top of my bum 21 years later, it’s called permanent bruising tissue. Apparently with a concerted effort it can be massaged just about totally out but it’s hard to massage your own backside. Judging from the amount of force you hit with to make a bruise that large and that colour you might have something similar.
Great report Dave, was a good read and made me chuckle a few times remembering bits and pieces. Looking forward to more trips mate, we always have a great time.

The Bruising seems to be the result of a few ass catches over the week lol not just one incident. Everytime DRC stacked he seemed to land securely on his Booty haha.

Ive got exactly the same thing from tryin to drop in the vert at the old vert-x taren point when i was 13. haha
Very nice report. I think those tree runs over at north P are the only ones I haven’t done because they are rarely open.
Looks like you are getting pretty pro mate. Can’t wait for the shred and all these new people to ride with

Hah an ass massage wouldn’t go down very well at the moment still a litle too tender!
Great report Drc!

Cheers mate, I might chuck up a couple more of your photos later.
The extra reserved spot was incase I ended up with any more photos or if I decided to knock up a video edit (probably not at this stage as my footage is pretty bad this time)
As soon as all my new gear shows up we’ll head back down!

Ergh I hope it’s not permanent, it feels pretty weird when I sit down kind of like having a small wallet in your back pocket. Maybe the two of us should have stayed off the snow this season!

Glad you enjoyed it mate, thanks for giving me a couple of things to write about!
Yeah definitely keen to head back down and ride together once my new gear arrives (don’t have any bindings ATM) hopefully you get your board sorted out as your riding is coming along nicely.
Hah to be fair to my booty falls they weren’t helped by the fact that my left cheek was sticking out a couple of cm more than my right (which I generously showed you all every morning). It made for a very big/painful target.

Thanks mate, Yeah I don’t think I’ll be rushing back to north P, atleast not the tree areas we got to know so well.
Hah well hopefully my riding is starting to come along I’d have to be up to near 3-4 weeks on a board now. Unfortunately I just completely lose it whenever I’m unexpectantly in the air.

Yeah true - a trip to the physio would still probably be well worth it. The tingles or ultrasound may well help.

a very gentle massage/rub with some arnica cream is a good idea at this stage too.
Cords do you mean the Tens machine when you say tingles? Or is it something else?
Thanks for the advice Cords and Oz! I haven’t iced or heated it since it happened which probably hasn’t helped.
Just added a few more photos to the original post.

I’m not sure what its called - every physio i’ve ever been to has called it the Tingles! haha its just when they attach some kind of electrode things and run a current through…its attached to a machine and you can turn it up and down. I’m notoriously wussy with how much I will put up with as I don’t like the sensation at all. I know it definitely works, though!
