Nthm has size 9.5 feet???
Little feet for a big boy!
Mwhahaha, I have two best mates, one is size 14, the other one whose just getting into boarding is either a 9 or 10 depending upon the sizing so these will probably be perfect. We have a trip planned in August, he has bought everything else, the boots are the last piece of the puzzle! For the record my boots are 12.5.
The last score from free to good home in action.
AND this is my 1000th POST!
Ewww no toe caps… looks painful!
hahaha TJ you big wuss-bag! I used regular straps for ages on my ride bindings and it was never uncomfortable! Just get a better feeling using toe caps, I think.
I’m with cords. I used regular toe straps for about 14 years, no biggy.
I still do, I think I prefer them!
I have no idea what a toe box is???
its exactly what it sounds like

I have regular straps on my Ride bindings and I have to say they are very uncomfortable. Sometimes quite painful if I don’t get them right.
I’ve thought about toe caps a few times, but I end up just putting up with what I have.
Those bindings are old Ride Vixens, think they might be 2007 to be honest. Most new Ride bindings have the ability to do both, my new Rodeo’s with the 3d strap are awesome.

I know what a toe box is but still don’t get the talk about “normal” bindings?
normal bindings = middle of the size spectrum RE: toebox width
32’s are consistently wider boxes than most other brands.

So what is Tj talking about?
see nthn missus bindings how they have a strap that goes over the middle part of the foot? they are traditional binding straps.
Toe caps are being used on most bindings these days, the are a strap with a “cap” in the middle which sits snugly over the front of your boots (toe box). They provide a better connection to your board (arguably) as the pressure is pulling your boots towards the heel cup as well as downward pressure.
Riiiight…
I get it now!
I had no idea what TJ’s mate’s too big feet had to do with the toe box chatter!
