Thanks for all this great advice, everyone. I’ve got a lot to think about now
I’m thinking after talking to my sister last night I’ll come along to the Shred and try out some boards there and than make my decision.
Here’s your review, chucky: https://www.boardworld.com.au/forums/viewthread/3560/
I would definitely agree with what Mizu and chucky are saying. The YES Basic is excellent value and a great all-round board. As mentioned, this board doesn’t have full rocker but ‘CamRock’ which is rocker in the nose and tail, and camber between the feet. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll get in touch with YES to see if they have one available./
Another factor in favour of this board is the AWESOME colour of the 163W - easily the best looking one of the entire line! I’d have LOVED for this colour to be on a size I’d like to ride!!! I used to ride those lengths (163 and 164) as my everyday boards, but I’m used to shorter boards now - however if the size still suited me, I’d be buying the YES Basic 163W in a heartbeat!!!
That colour way looks sick!!!!!
Yeah, I’m sooooooo disappointed they didn’t use it for a smaller size!!!
That board would look killer with static’s white Triad bindings!!!
BTW - Mrs Mizu’s YES Basic is the winner in the chicky category, and a close second overall.
