Facebook buys Instagram for $1 billion

You think they sold too early while their stock was on the rise? It seems to me that Instagram is only becoming increasingly popular. Probably the best social media start-up since Facebook and Twitter. I’m guessing they could have got a bit more for it? Or am I kidding myself, is it a good price?

yer i agree, i have gotten so many people onto it and half of them have never even heard of it! I think its going to get a whole lot bigger, but 1billion is still crazy

More or less.
It’s an app which lets you take photos, and then apply different affects to it before sharing it with friends. You can follow your friends, like you do on Flickr, so you see when they post a new photo. And you can share them on FB, twitter etc.

yep this is why i am happy with this purchase - maybe facebook will develop it so other phones can use it!

haha i dont own a blackberry thankfully (well i have one for work and you cant beat them for work purposes, but for pleasure im all about the galaxy S2)
