Excuse for not going to Sydney meet up.

My excuse;
Friday
Leave home at 9:45am to go to 100th anniversary school celebration (begins at 10 - it’s a 45min drive!), I’m videoing the 2day affair.
Celebrations finish at 2:30, go catch some z’s in the car at the beach - wake up at 3:45, decide on maccas (a 5-10min drive) only a truck accident on Mt Ously has diverted Sydney traffic through Nth District (it takes me until 4:30 to get Macca’s.
Start work at 5pm.
Finish at 3am.
Sat
Mum wakes me at 7am, needs something but I’m to tired to comprehend, can’t sleep, get up to find out what - she’s not there.
Street parade for centenary starts at 11am. I get there at 10:55. Wearing thongs I lap the parade 3 times carrying video and still camera.
Run back along route to get tripod from car.
Set up to record official speeches.
Get pirate ship I built from car (dry land boat race) While speaches happen.
Official ceremony ends at 12:30. I’ve been in the sun for 2 days, sweating like crazy and very dehydrated.
Boat race and other fun events begin at 1pm.
Spaz and PP are crowd fav’s in The Pirate Expess equipped with water cannons, foam swords, pirate garb and a blue monkey. We make it through all heats and come 3rd to win a block of chocolate (lucky because I hadn’t eaten since Macca’s on Friday). Things wrap up around 4pm. I go for a quick wave (15min) to get clean. Arrive early to work to try to catch some sleep.
Boss see’s how exhausted I am, can barley walk (dam knee). Sends me away to put my feet up - I’m on call.
I grab a feed from work and go eat on the beach. text Tj.
Walk to RSL (celebration dinner for mum’s/dad’s). Have a beer or two.
9:30pm comes around and things look sweet for me to go to Sydney. Drop into work to check it out, only a few peep’s there.
Within 15min, people start arriving. I clock on at 10pm.
Leave work at 3am (EDST).

Very bleary eyed I struggle to drive home. Fall into bed at 3am EST.
Knee throbbing, sunburnt, utterly exhausted - That’s the story of how I almost made it to the Sydney meet up.
I’m going back to sleep.

a little off topic but spaz i got a school project that i have to interview someone that works in the industry that i want to be in and i have to give a 15min presentation to the class, was wondering if i could do it on you?

as much as i would love to become a pro snowbum ill go with the video side of things,
um its not due for ages but would be looking to try and do it over a weekend around early june, ill drive up to sydney or maybe even during opening weekend up at perisher? whenever your free tho but ill let you know closer to june

Where will you be situated?
I travel between here and the snow A LOT. Opening weekend will depend on snow cover, whether I’m there. I haven’t made any sure plans for this season.
I’m based in canberra but will be at the snow a lot too, ill organise something closer to the snow season
