Shred For Shane 2012

Avatar

Words: Shane Azar

Yesterday Wednesday, 7th of March marked the fifth year since our dear friend Shane Cross left this world for another. It’s hard to believe it has been that long already, as we all still feel him in our daily lives. Whether it’s the shirt you put on, the songs you play on the iPod or the slang in your day-to-day conversation. Shane has undoubted left a life long imprint on all of us, and legacy that will live on.

Last Saturday the 3rd of March The Shred for Shane was held at Pizzey Skate Park on the Gold Coast. The rain fell heavily throughout the Gold coast, but just to be sure we drove to the skate park anyway. On arrival the rain was bucketing down, but still we waited. Slowly people started to show up even in the wet, and before we new it, the skate park was dry and one hundred of Shane’s closest friends and family were enjoying each others company and a Skate for Shane. Last night was Wednesday and the crew down in Melbourne threw a night for Shane too.

NEVER FORGOTTEN AND ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS. WE LOVE YOU BUDDY, REST IN PEACE AND RIDE ON YOU CRAAZY DIAMOND, SHANE CROSS
