Hi, im thinking about buying a snowboard, never owned one but would like to change that soon. I don’t know anything about snowboards so i wouldn’t know which ones to get, any suggestions on a good inexpensive one? im trying to spend less then $300 for a board.
I’ve been looking at this particular 2009 Santa Cruz board for about $250, the top is black, pretty plain with some skulls and other stuff in the middle and the bottom of the board has a very colorful design.
And i also was looking into a Millennium 3/M3 board from 2006.
I’ve been snowboarding for a few years now, and the slopes here around New York are usually covered in fake snow/ice. Any suggestions and info about those companies? Thanks
I would suggest you get something more recent. All brands have decent boards available at cheap price points, and you’ll get a warranty with it. I believe M3 went out of business many years ago (they might be back now). I’m not too familiar with Santa Cruz unfortunately. Either way, go to your local snowboard store and you’ll find some good boards on sale towards the end of your season.
Welcome to Boardworld.
Search for last season’s stuff. They usually have a pretty big discount. Some brands that have price point boards that comes to mind K2, Ride, Rossignol, YES. If you bump up your budget a bit you can find some Burtons, Lib Techs, Capitas on discounts.
A mate of mine just picked up a rockered M3 and 5150 bindings for $200 from Torpedo7 before Xmas, for what he wants it for you really couldn’t go wrong with that.
Santa Cruz snowboards are the same mob that do the skateboards
they’ve been around awhile…started 1990’s
cant really add anything on the boards themselves
but their skateboards are relatively well known (at least in the states)
