LIFE IN THE GARDEN STATE

To be perfectly honest, getting the entire Third Chapter crew together in the same place at the same time is like herding dishevelled sheep. But occasionally we get a hankering to do something so out-of-the-box, that we simply have to make it happen.

So with no real plan, but a thirst to shoot, skate and destroy some new spots in Melbourne, we decided it was to time to get the entire family together and show the rest of the world what this town has to offer.

Resident Hollywood playboy and professional cinematographer, James Brown was down for the cause and jumped on the next flight from Sydney for the trip where he joined local film lord, Steve Murphy. Together we had a crack team of two of Australia’s finest drinkers.

All we needed now was some good weather and for the boys to actually turn up and shred. Enter Blake Harris, Rowan “Happy” Sercombe, Jamie Keating, Brett Royden, Rylan McNeill, Cameron Markin and 14 year old, super-grom, Ben Hodge, who’d decided that this trip was too important to miss and took the week off school to be here. Legend.

Over the next four days we skated eight spots in the Melbourne sun and when it got dark we filmed under lights with a generator. We pissed off some locals and discussed the law with the cops, but most importantly we shot some bloody amazing footage. This is the end result:
