Hi there!
I’m new to this forum but I think I got the point though
Well.
I’m from Denmark and the winter here is really boring!!
I got the chance for a couple of months snowboarding somewhere in Europe. Something that I’ve been thinking about for some years now actually.
I’ve heard of many great places around Austria but I’d never been there myself. I’m kinda new on a snowboard, I’ve been riding for some weeks but I can jib some rails and air some small gabs too. Freestyle is the main thing!
I’m searching for some advice. Where to go and where to stay for a longer while (like 2-3 months). I have been thinking about a room somewhere, but I don’t know where in Austria I’m gonna stay yet. I’m travelling alone so it would be cool if there’s some kinda place where there’s other like me staying for a while and snowboarding.
Some one in here has some advice for me or maybe know a place I can stay? Cheap!
Thanks man!
Welcome to Boardworld!
unsure if you have Austria and Australia confused cause they are very far apart
Not having been to Europe to snowboard can only offer links to other sites with the basics

Hey Mnzl,
I have friends who spent a few years being ski bums in Innsbruck. You can get cheap accom in town (long term) and a food can be cheap as it is a university town. You can buy a seasons pass to multiple resorts and go up on a cheap (maybe free??) local bus to different resorts each day.
I have vid of my time in Innsbruck visiting them but it was in my early learning to edit days and I turned it into a dvd, with title page etc and can’t figure out how to get it back to normal footage again so i can get it up on youtube. But this is video from my friends time.
That’s sick, Oz!!!!!!!
Ah, Austria.
I cannot speak for freestyle places, but I’d suggest going to Innsbruck. Apparently the Nordpark park is quite good, and you can’t beat the access or the view of Innsbruck, Brenner Pass, and the Italian Alps. Accommodation is probably reasonably priced, as mentioned, the university is there, and it’s a sizable town with much more than just a ski area. Also check out the Burton Store when you’re in town.
