How many aus members is there on boardworld?
In early July there was over 700 registered members.
60% Aus
15% NZ
7% Canada
4% USA
14% other (UK, EU, Sth America the big ones)
By July 23 we had over 1000 registered members and over 1Million page hits.
That is all I know for now.
1000 registered members?
Thats some pretty mad numbers.
It was probs cos of that free snowboar thing.
To be honest, i saw the ad so i registered.
And then, jeremy was a member on snowatch.com.au as well and told me to join and i was like “hey… thats your site?!?!”

Interesting stats. I’m surprised that Australia has such a large proportion judging by the people who post on the forums. Would it be possible to get a list of active members? I like statistics.
Well, it doesnt for me because its kinda hard for a liftie to know so many people that ride the slopes.
Last year one day at Thredbo there was an old guy blowing up at some young girl because she asked to see his pass.
It was a season pass tucked around his neck down under his jacket, so to her it didnt look like he had one.
When she asked to see it he started blowing up saying he showed her last time and made a big fuss and complaining about getting it out.
It wasnt like he was wearing a matching bright orange Analog outfit or anything. It was red jacket and black pants. Pretty common.
I could see she was a little frustrated about the fuss he was making but out of respect/politeness she didnt say anything.
I on the other hand couldnt give a stuff and cant stand people like that, so i just politely (and sarcasticly) said to him (and loud enough for his friends to hear) that she’s just doing her job and despite what he thinks, he isnt that memorable.
He gave me a dirty look but didnt know what to say and slid off.
Id never blow up at a liftie for doing their job, its hardly their fault (unlucky for the old bloke lol),the resorts policies are the problem.where a mountain has main access lifts where you cant enter via any other place there isnt much point in hassling someone about a pass on over the back on there 10th tbar who couldnt have got their any other way then going through the checks on the first lift . just another little hassle that the australian slopes dont need when competing for my yearly snow budget.

That is a question for Jeremy, he has all that information.
when you view your profile, you can then click on ‘member list’ and get a members list to see what people’s post count is - this will give you an idea of who is actively posting and who is not.

Cool, hadn’t noticed this yet. Seems that a lot of the people towards the last pages are inactive (1 month +) but there are some who have obviously been signing in as there last visit and join dates are quite separate. Interesting to look at.

Right, it really puts into perspective who is spending more time around here than others.
I honestly reckon that there are too little activity for 1000 members
give it a month and hits/post will drop from Aussie members until Jan/Feb when snow falls up north ..... usually very quiet on snow forums until snow falls somewhere
i guess the skate and surfing parts will kick off
True. August marks the beginning of the real snow-thirsty to start getting online in NoHe. Usually full swing by October.
I would hope that soon more from the North would begin to find BW and join.
Otherwise, I just may be on here by myself… I just cant go winning all the contests (that’s no fun), so stick around to win some swag guys!!!

Your track record shows an absolute whoppage.
Snowslider - 1
Everyone else - 0
By the way, what does NoHe stand for?
north hemisphere is my guess

I made the initial assumption that NoHe was what people from Austria were called….
It was probs cos worldtripper said “well unfortunately that means all of us NoHe folks are off-limits then” when he posted his pic of Austria and from then on everytime someone said NoHe i assumed that it meaned austrians…. :\
