The Shred left an impression.
Yesterday I heard a few individuals talking about Boardworld.
(A few at this time of year is a large percentage of the remaining population left.)
All impressions where overwhelmingly positive, (I was even told the toaster was nothing - quote “It’s only a toaster, these things are to be accepted in a ski resort” - I was then told a few horror stories of other incidences that go down - the Shred was tame compared)
BTW: turns out the toaster has ended up in scrap metal, put there by Macca. - Mizu, Warren Chapstick and MissPopsicle met Macca some time ago in Shellharbour. I’ve known Macca since my first season, I was also drinking with the Candlelight crew last night and there is no issue - It’s time I let it go. Macca felt bad for chucking it, he is a fan of BW (even though he ski’s)
Much love has been sent BW’s way by the locals. Many have been checking out the forums, especially the photo comp.
The Shred looks to be another marketing tool as no one misbehaved to the extreme.
We left many smiles on many faces.

I should stop reading all the shred stuff they make me jealous, I hope I can go boarding this year.And maybe attend the shred one day :D
I can honestly say that I lost count of how many people bailed us up, just to talk to us about our gathering!!!!!
I still love the fact that the guitar guy’s shout out had other people (non BWM) looking up the site on their phones and showing him.

That’s great feedback, mate. Each and every person who attended The Shred made it the awesome event it was. Hopefully our community continues to grow and we welcome more and more people onto the forums. The community/forums is the most important part of Boardworld - I’ve always said that. Bringing people together, getting the industry involved, giving us a voice, and most importantly making new friends. You guys are unreal!

I def think this is a great idea for a weekend/long weekend trip half way.
Tathra is about halfway. Good fishing and surfing down that way.
