Tattoo’s

Avatar

Not mine Mizu,

I didn’t go with the 7 pointed stars but designed them myself. Like F.E. mine takes up the whole of my back.
Somewhat fortunate with the star design as I had it done almost 20 years ago. Long before the Commonwealth Games made it popular - I had never seen or heard of anyone with a Southern Cross tat. It was meant to be the beginning of on huge back piece.

I also have a single word on my left shoulder blade that reminds me of my favourite book (and lifestyle envy) - “maƱana” from ‘On The Road’ by Jack Kerouac

i was going to get a southern cross tattoo before they become cool. glad i didnt now.

currently have some script on my chest running from shoulder to shoulder, which is going to get more done around it eventually.

have a 3/4 sleeve booked in for early next year (year waiting list)

have a small rotary symbol on my back(was young and stupid) and am looking to start a back piece to cover that.

and thats all…for now

I didn’t get mine for the whole ‘cool’ factor. I have wanted it since I was younger and because to me that is Australian. I got it on my upper back because no one else really sees it and it was for me. I hate that people criticise it now and compare it to the swastika :-(

Yeah ever since those Australia Day riots in Sydney (Cronulla?)

Show me someone who compares the southern cross to the swastika and I will show you a farken moron who should probably be gassed themselves to make the point properly.

cant say i have ever seen someone compare it to a swastika,

they are like japanese/chinese symbol tattoos…every 2nd person has one.

if they accompany a tattoo of ned kelly then you know your looking at a deadset bogan
