Gulmarg, Kashmir

Avatar

This here is a video I produced from footage of my trip to Kashmir in february this year
It attempts to give the viewer a feel of what it is like to ride the Mt Apharwat Range. Enjoy

Very nice mate, not my first choice of soundtrack but still a good little insight into Gulmarg.  Did you find you had to hike a bit to access the good terrain or is a lot of it available of the lift infrastructure?

I changed mind my mind and watched it now.
it is sick! nice vid. the stack off the cornice was pretty nice to!
do you guys carry transceivers/probes etc when riding offpiste there?

sick vid! Looks like an amazing place.
I’m guessing there was a whole stack of hiking involved in accessing that terrain - heaps of other tracks though…were they all your groups or was there others around out there too?

Hey thanks for the kind words on the video.

there is, for sure, heaps of hiking involved. The resort is one bowl on a 6km wide ridgeline. You always ride with avalanche gear (tranceiver, shovel, probe). The more you put in the more you get out.

As far a lots of other tracks!!!!!!!
most of this video was shot a couple of days after a storm. On powder days we were too busy to bring out the cameras.

Anyone who is interested in going can pm me for some details. I have some stuff in the pipeline that will start up next season.
