I thought I was there in January. We had two incredible powder filled weeks, felt like mid winter. Looks like I was there late February to early March.

Jetstar is currently having a sale on international flights including Tokyo in January (from the 16th) for my dates it would have worked out a couple of hundred cheaper.

its only fair in my books considering the mammoth transit time
I’m travelling the exact same dates but with 25kg, the plus package for the way over, standard on the way back, entertainment unit both ways, comfort pack one way total was around $1240 at the time I knew it wasn’t a great price but I’d given up on any sales during the school holidays which is when I needed to travel

i dont know how much you are paying for the packs but add those on too
i never look at those stuff because ...well they are a total rip
still don’t consider it a massive saving but yeah it is slightly discounted
think of it this way…
at least you had the piece of mind to book everything else early so you can secure your them at a cheaper rate?? maybe??

Didn’t really end up saving anything by booking early and I’m actually intentionally avoiding looking at any other deals at this stage for fear of seeing a bargain.
Having said that it’s just money and who am I to complain I’m going to Japan to snowboard and I’m getting pretty excited about it!
