Well it is now exactly 3 months to the day until I can get my full license and ride a real bike.
And I just realised that the model I want is only available in Europe. (see Yes / No thread)
So now that I have to find something else, I think this looks pretty sweet: (2008 CBR600RR)
What does everyone else say?
looks the goods,
i was going to get my licence buuuuut at the moment i cant justify the expense…
if/when i get my full licence i will be rocking a r6
R6 is a mad bike. But it is more for racing than riding… and I’m not one to take a bike to the track.
If you are planning to get a license in future, do the L’s course now. It’s $80 and its good fun getting on a bike for the first time. Then once you do decide to ride, you can go straight to your P’s once feel you are ready
oh i can ride, just never done it…legally with a licence before haha
cousins had a farm and we would ride all day on dirt bikes. took his dads triumph on the roads a few times. that thing was a beaast
I love the Yamaha R6 and R1. Such sick bikes! Unfortunately I’ve never had the pleasure of riding one.
I have ridden a R15 and sat on an R1 but never ridden it. The R15 I got it to a top speed of 105 on the M5 and it stayed at 105 and didn’t get any faster lol.
My Kawasaki ZZR-250 can hold 130 comfortably but I tend to stay at my legal speed of 90 as I don’t feel like paying fines and losing the license…
my mates gf’s dad has a duke…i cant recall maybe a 995? or something. its a beast, him and his mates do a ride from ulladulla to phillip island every year for the race.
hopefully going to tag along from here to the island with them,
Ducati 996 is a beast!
Only prob is the Ducatis need to be serviced so often!
I wouldn’t ride down unless you had a full license and at least a 500cc bike… My 250 just can’t keep up with 600’s… trying to keep up with a Duke 996 would be impossible.
yeh, sounds like a fully worked v8! its insane.
the services arent cheap so he does them himself i believe…
I would be way to scared to ride a bike on the roads… but a quad out bush? HELLS YES!!!
My sister and ex husband are into motorbikes. My sister loved trail bike riding and her ex hubby had rebuilt a couple of bikes for track days too. Can’t remember what they were but they were absolute weapons.
My wife isn’t too keen on me getting a motorbike. Must say I can understand why, when I took a postie out in Thailand. Went quad biking a few years ago in England, that was fun. The ground was soaking wet and muddy, was getting side ways so often.
For shits and giggles.
Me learning to ride a trail bike…

As i said on facebook… Okay Speilburg may not hire the videographer and showtime yamaha team may not recuit me for the easter show next year but the video is still funny!
I strike again -somebody fix the above!!
Unfortunately you cant post video’s from facebook… just give us a link
use the edited link above
in not a fan of quad bikes what so ever. i dont like the fact you cant lean into corners, seen a fair few tip over mid corner.
