Evo 8’s are fun. Pyromaniac on here has one (8MR with a few mods and boost). I don’t think I could personally own one, the short ratio’s in the gearbox are great for driving one quicky around a track etc but around town it’s something that I’m sure would get on my nerves in no time since when I drove his I found I was constantly changing gears. The golf gti’s are a great looking car and the finish on them is definitely top notch, but at the same time I couldn’t settle for a GTI when there’s the R32 out there. Don’t get me started on a S8 RX7… would be a tonne of fun, no doubt something that would kill my license in no time hahaha
I’m pretty much set on a JZX100 Mark II for my next car down the line once I’m going to be in aus for longer than 6 months. 4 door practicality so it’ll fly under the radar with the cops yet has enough power to be plenty of fun. Loved the fact that nobody knew what my old chaser was and on more than occasion it was mistaken for a Volvo.. that guy definitely got a shock, I’m sure he’d never seen a volvo move like that before hahahaha
i dig the jdm import 4 door wagons that have the interchangeable fronts with the r34 skylines(completely forgot their names), look killer.
r32 isnt all its cracked up to be from my research. heavier than the gti, fairly bad on fuel in traffic compared to the gti. 4wd is a bonus tho…
An update.
Picked up the car today - he did some playing with the clutch check hoses etc (i have no idea really but sounded thorough!)
Anyway the key take away was ” Oz don’t stress it is a good car, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!”
Yipppeeeee!!!!
Who wants a ride to the snow next weekend???
Thats fantastic news oz!!!
We are heading up the snow this weekend, where are you going?
Not til next weekend. I am bound by my training schedule.

you’re thinking of the stagea, pretty good value for money now, even the later model ones which i’ve seen with R35 front ends done in Japan.
thats the one!
the guy who built my rx7’s engine had one with the r34 front and engine in it. was a beast
