Nope, sounds like you had cheap-ish liners. The material near the ankle might stretch or get loose, but I’ve never worn holes anywhere in my liner, and I sized down 1-1.5 sizes from my shoe size. If anything, the shells of my boots seem to take most of the abuse from bindings that don’t fit right and eat into the shell.

I am going to break the trend on this one.
I go up a size in boots. Mostly I will wear 7’s in skate shoes sometimes an 8. My feet are really wide and I have a big in step, so pretty much no boots have fitted in a 7 for width or instep. Hence the need to go up a size and even then I will sometimes need to blow the side of the boots out.
Riding in 32 boots at the moment, but going to widen out my search when I get to the UK.

Yeah but you’re just weird, CJ. You and your unusually wide feet!  tongue wink

I generally have size 11 shoes, and my latest boots were 10.5. Nice and tight for awhile but after 80+ days I was getting a bit of movement, but not too much to really get too worries about. The J-bars in the Burton Ions are awesome. Main prob is that the back boot got heaps looser than the front boot. The outer boot is braking a bit around the toe which sucks.

I’ve got size US 12 feet. I normally go half a size down and then heat mould my liners, this was a complete snug and comfortable fit. But this year i’ve got a size 12 boot, the only difference is is when i go on my toe edge it is not as responsive as my previous boots.

Well that’s good news, maybe my new boots will last longer.

A size up CJ?? Strange, but no one know your feet like u do. Have u tried Nike Boots? I’ve never had them but a few of my friends have had boot shape problems until they got Nikes. Might be worth a try if u haven’t already.

To be honest I am not going to do NIke snowboard boots. I generally don’t like nike for a lot of things, very personal choice there.

I wouldn’t mind looking at northwave, celcius or the new balance 686 boots. I have a big instep and really wide feet. So if I wear the same size boots as shoes I literally can’t feel my feet within a few minutes.
