So as the tittle pretty much says so, I’m looking for a place to go snowboarding in September
and since I saw that their are A LOT of snowboarders here I’m sure someone can help me.
info: I live in Belgium(W-Europe) and I prefer Austria
Any help is welcome!!
We’re goin to Thredbo, South East Australia!!!!!
For the Inaugural Boardworld Shred!!!!! So jump on a plane and come Shred with us Scarface!!!!!
South Island, New Zealand. Your best option for Southern Hemisphere snow (cool country too).
2nd that option. NZ is by far the funnest place(well compared to aus anyway…)
I’d love to go to Chile one day!!!!!!

3rd this, probably for best quality snow anyways
I’d love to go to Chile one day!!!!!!
we were planning to do this sometime this year(well we started to plan it in the hot tub in NZ last year) but i moved and my friends went back to japan instead.
I would definitely consider South America. Argentina and Chile have excellent snowboarding on offer! There’s some really good deals too! September is too early for any snow in Europe or North America.
and at the moment there is no snow in NZ, TC just postponed opening for the season due to lack of snow and you can’t get to South America because of the volcano !!!!
But that should all be history by then

If considering NZ, the North Island (Rhuapehu) is the better bet for September.
Thanks for all the replies!!
NZ sounds cool(and I would love to go there :D), and I didn’t even know you could board in South America =D
But the thing is that I’m still a student so I don’t have too much money to spend and I guess that a plane to NZ isn’t that cheap :/
But I’ll take a look at plane prizes later today or tomorrow
and again thanx
Ok I went over some airlines and for some stupid reason no one flies to NZ from Belgium(grrrr)(and the tickets were way to expensive) so I looked further on the airline sites and found a tool that said would help me decide were to go; so i picked snow and the region july-september and it said I could go to Helsinki.
Now my question is can you board there in the surroundings in september and if so all info is welcome!
i think your going to struggle to find any info on that mate…we are in australia after all(well 99% of us)
Levi, which is apparently the biggest resort in Finland (according to google) is open from 4th Nov - 8th May. So I doubt you have much chance in September.
It is also almost 100% lit by flood lights due to the location close to the arctic circle and can be extremely cold and quite a different snow experience.
I doubt very much that ya will find any resorts in the Northern Hemisphere that will operate in September, let alone have enough snow on the ground!!!!!
Maybe a Heli in Alaska???? Just gotta look out for Polar Bears!!!!!
yeah that’s kinda what i figured but the site told me this :derp:
and going south of the hemisphere is really expensive for me so I think I’m just gonna do some indoor boarding
(Heli boarding is tooooo epic; adding polar bears is just an instant orgasm )
thx for the help
