Yew about to head down to Canberra shaka  Boarding Thur to Sun. First trip of the season grin Anyone else down there over the wknd?

Enjoy your weekend, mate. Definitely hit up chucky. He should be there and he’s super fun to ride with!

I’m in Sydney at the moment - Photoshopping a fashion shoot (swimwear, hehe - one of the younger Kardashian sisters actually), and working on my renovations. Back in Thredders probably Monday or Tuesday.

Thought that I’d test out the “Pole”, and give the XCAM Daily Run on spaz’s behalf!!!! - I didn’t know what the Groomers Pick was, so I just headed for Highnoon for a first run!!!! I’m sure that I was usin a VIO too!!!!! I may have had the settings wrong though??? ; ) -

Wednesday was def the pick from the look of spaz and tj’s vid, as thursday was as icy as, and friday was pretty similar bar a light dusting from the snow guns!!!!!

(Pay no attention to the lame boarding either!!!!! Just look at the snow, the blue sky and enjoy the tune!!!!!)  shaka

Hey good work Mizu, I don’t know about the “lame boarding”, cos the inclination was positively Baryshnikov. Sir You have the hips of an 18 yo calisthenics coach. GRRRRR.

Hey i think once I get my mojo back on the board I’d like to have a go with one of those pole cams. I guess Spaz will have some for hire during the Shred?

Last time I looked at a calastanics coach, her hips didn’t quite make me think of my own physique, MU!!!!!  LOL

I’m pretty sure that spaz is givin free cam hire to all members for the Shred, with an opportunity of winnin one!!!!!

Hey man, good to meet you down there, sorry to be that creepy lurker guy!
FYI the missus and i did mange to go out for some runs in between all those beers but i gotta say it was some hard work with that snow.  Drove back today and then heard the mountain was iced over… crazy

I heard the same thing about the end of last week bogmow (was told about it last night). First time in Thredbo’s history they closed the mountain due to it being too icy! After they groomed all the moisture in the snow surfaced and froze into a layer of blue ice, not even the tiller’s on the groomer cats could penetrate it. The mountain re-opened at 10:30 once the groomers could lay some cords into it.

Mountain looks great this morning, I was expecting brown patches in all the usual (first to go areas) but NO! Highnoon is completely covered, upper supertrail looks like mid winter.

There is little evidence of snow falling up top (I was told by one person it had most of yesterday).

Considering the sun last week then r@!n yesterday the hill looks like little damage has occurred. I fully expected a sight of misery to befall my eyes this a.m. but once the fog slowly burned off it revealed a stress melting vision.

With the blue bird showing it’s colour today I might go out to Mt Kosciuszko.

Just realised I haven’t edited a single vid from August! How can this be? It’s normally a very productive month for me.

Well, here is the last vid I loaded to Vimeo. It’s a catchup edit from our July mission to Dead Horse Gap.

Yeah, I’m stoked to hear we’re going to have snow. I was starting to get worried.

Hiked out to Mt Kosci and Seamans Hut yesterday, plenty of dust on crust, I even managed to throw some pow on a few turns.

Coming through the resort at the end of the day - there is so much banked up snow. Spring is a great time of year to ride/jib, there are that many cut-ins on the supertrail it’s impossible to hit them all.

Snowmaking ran through the night.

Good to know there are decent snow at the top, I’ll be there next week for annual fix up…

I watched the forecasts and there would be some rains (let hope it would light drops)
Let say next week the day is shower or rain, would it be OK to boarding. I remember 2 years ago I went same place and the village were soak and at top mountain dumped with sleet, flurries. would that happen?

Counting few sleeps left…

That’s typical for Thredbo silent.

On Monday it rained heavily in the village, was sleet and snow at Eagles Nest and dry snow above the resort.
It’s why we say Thredbo’s Wetter wink
