SR20DET in a GTIR or Pulsar is my guess?
we have a winner.
4ce_full was correct its a GTIR.
well done to everyone else who picked it was SR20.
Nothing wrong with 6 cyl boxer.
Nothing wrong with 4 cyl boxer either.
Add a turbo to the 6 and I can see probs. which is maybe why it isn’t done by the factory.
Will try find photos of my old rx7 (12A bridgeport, locked diff…mam i loved that thing)
Yeah db, I’m partial to rexies. Used to cruise in a rx4.
here are my automobiles
first up, my 97 mitsubishi legnum. 2.5ltr v6 twin turbo all wheel drive wagon, quite the sleeper, no-one expects a ‘magna’ wagon to have this sort of get up and go. Its been wrapped matte black but underneath the big blak sticker is a dark purple colour. Love this car, a lil thirsty on the juice though when its getting a boot full
and my project thats nearly done
1962 morris mini that ive put a 1275 in and supercharged with an sc12. I love minis, the legnum will be sold once this bad boy is back on the road.

The first car I ever bought was a RX-7 series 2 with a 12A :D
I rebuilt & mild ported it. Mmmm. They’re not the fastest things in the world but they are light and god they sound mean.
I actually won a Dyno comp with it. (In the NA rotary class)
After I had rebuilt practically the whole car and had a beautiful old sports car… That huge hail storm hit the coast in 2005 and completely destroyed it
But I try to remember the good times lol
This way my first real car:
13b with a big turbo. Should have killed myself at least twice in that car… :(
Hey Trent, how much did it cost to get your car wrapped?
Im thinking of buying a new car in the next few months… leaning towards a Forrester
my mate has one of those, its a nice family car i guess. Nothing i would ever consider in the next few years. But im sure our priorities are completely different! The rear reclining seats are epic!
Im still tossing up on whether to get a wrx sti spec r or just save my coin and travel heaps…
Wow Trent!
I owned a fully restored red CooperS for a while. Sold it about 12months before their price sky rocketed. Spewin now!!!!!! They are worth a mint.
It really did get up and go! Nothing cornered like it.

I highly approve!
My first car was the same thing, but 12a (NA) and bright yellow. I miss her
My first car was a 1979 Toyota Corolla 4 door
I was respraying myself, dad had the gear but refused to help me! I had the bonnet and the boot putty filled and and undercoat on when some tool ran up the back of me I was devo!!
The second car was a 1984 Corolla
Loved it except the heater didn’t work - tried to turn it on once and had hot water dripping on me LOL
Someone run up the back of this one as well! But Dad kept it around for a bit.
Then i got my first subby! Sold it when i moved overseas.
Then the excel - then the current subby!
Andy I sort of know what you mean about the snow suitable car except my my parents were advising the opposite! They were almost dead against the current car and wanted me to get a Getz instead - granted it would have been a newer car but I am very happy with the impreza!

To wrap mine the only cost was getting the vinyl which i bought some cheap shit off ebay that has held up really well suprisingly. The reason why that was the only cost is because where i work, our main business is car wrapping, so i got the guys here to do it for me. BUT if its something you really wanted to do, its really not that hard, a little internet research and take things slowly and smartly, youll have it done in a day or 2. Otherwise if you do it through the business, it will be a couple of thousand.
