30 years of “Official” snowboarding in Australia in 2016

In 1986 the first Australian snowboard contest ( Oz Classic ) was held at Guthega & the first snowboard instructors were employed at Thredbo. So 2016 will mark the 30th Anniversary of the ‘Coming of Age’ of Australian Snowboarding. Adrian Gibbs asked me to spread the word that he has an in principle agreement with Thredbo to hold a festival weekend on the 10th & 11th of September to mark this milestone. More to come.
