Soft Launch Feedback: FORUMS bugs, design issues, functionality issues

I find it really hard to read the text on the site. I am assuming the colour is black, but it is very small and thin. I have to zoom my browser in to 150% just to read posts.

Also on the mobile version I find you have to scroll through way too much stuff to get to posts.

Again on the mobile when you go to private messages there is a lot to scroll through before you find your inbox/message. To the point where I thought it was sending me to the wrong page.

Sorry if I am being too critical!

Certainly not being too critical. This is what we need. This website is for our community. If it’s not working for you, well, we need to address the issues.

All noted. Definitely working on these issues.

In regards to the text on the site, are you specifically talking about the copy text on the forums? Or elsewhere as well? Please be specific.

Just in the forum posts. When I am typing a reply it is much bolder and seems a little darker, much easier.

We have updated the font to a heavier font. Better? Any issues? Please let us know.

We have also updated the “Joined” date format to dd/mm/yyyy.

When you subscribe to a thread, the email you receive to notify you that someone posted a reply doesn’t contain a link back to the thread. It lists /forums/viewreply/256006/  instead of a fully formed URL.

PITA to manually navigate back to the site, go to the forum, find the category, find the thread or copy and paste the second portion of the URL into the address bar.

Noted. Will get this sorted. Thanks mate.

Would be nice if the navigation bar, locked at the top of page, told you what thread you’re on instead of just “THREAD”

I agree and disagree with this. I think it could be done elsewhere but I don’t think there’s enough room on the blue nav bar. Would get super messy with long titles. Will look into a solution.

Remove the search box? there is a magnifying glass right above it?

The search icon in the black nav bar doesn’t actually search the forums.

It’s specifically for articles and the store. If you click on it, it will give you the option for articles or store.

We don’t have a way to include forums searching in the top search icon at this stage.

So we have to have it in the blue nav bar for the time being.

Can you at least have a certain amount of characters allowed followed by ...? Having accurate breadcrumbs is a huge help but I do understand why you can’t. Last thing you want is to restrict the amount of characters allowed in a thread title, or have long titles break the breadcrumbs over two lines.

Just a question, why do you need the name of the thread there?

You obviously clicked into the thread so you know which thread it is.

Not disagreeing with anyone but I’d like to understand the reasoning for wanting it.

I click into 5 threads at a time all in new tabs. I often look at the previous thread to work out what I’m looking at lol
