Its been 6 weeks since I injured my knee and despite weekly physio and lots of rest it’s still not right. Thanks to the slow healing and the sudden appearance of some mysterious and quite severe bruising (probably shouldn’t have played soccer last week) I now have to get an xray and mri :(
If it’s not better by snow season I’ll probably cry!

Sorry to hear that air! It must be time of the year for injuries; I have always had a bad shoulder but it has gotten worse in the last week or so and now my ankle too. I hurt that a while back lifting 220lbs on a calf raise at the gym; gave it a rest and went back and tried 150lbs and now my ankle is busted again. This time worse… right in time for my holiday rage

I did rest raspberry 5 weeks of knee brace, rest and icing it + physio. Physio was happy for me to play soccer last week but after coming up with horrible bruising its back to rest until my MRI.

Bruising most likely was worked out because you played soccer.
I adhere to being active asap after an injury and avoiding ice because it locks in the fluid and bruising and stalls the healing process.

Many professionals shun my healing process but none can fault how quick I heal.
To back it up; I’ve had many, MANY! B A D injuries that physio’s, doctors and surgeons have overseen, including a dislocated knee that snapped my acl yet I was back snowboarding 5 days later.

And bliz; if you’re focused on building muscle bulk the process requires small muscle strains wink

But even you said/admitted you probably should have not played soccer on it!!!

Oz, hindsight is a wonderful thing! It honestly seemed ok, didn’t even hurt playing on it.

Spaz, that might work well for you but there is always a risk that pushing an injury can make it worse. Even if I didn’t have the unfortunate disadvantage of an inflammatory autoimmune disorder I still wouldn’t be exercising on potentially torn ligaments. But considering I do I think it’s best I take the advice of my highly qualified rheumatologist and continue to rest it :p

Oh ladies!!! You’re all falling apart!!! Rest up Xxx

I rested for a couple weeks and went back lightly, but obviously there is something wrong :( I taped it up for a couple days, but it’s still no good. Physio next week I think.

Spaz, you wear a knee brace to snowboard and have always been injured since I’ve known you… lol

Hahaha, I was thinking the same TJ!!!!

It occurred to me today, with all fresh flakes pics on FB lately, I miss snowboarding even MORE than drinking. (I know right?) Devo!!!!!

For a good cause though. The things we do. One more year, one more year! shred
