Exactly!

With glasses or contacts!

It serious amazes me when people say their eyesight is poor..

Umm you can fix that!

I have glasses for reading, but think it’s time to get them for everyday use. Im only a month or so from a free check up so I am waiting for that, then I can claim new lenses from work wink

So just wear them everyday?

Why do you need new ones?

Get contacts! If you have to wear them everyday.

You will need them to snowboard anyway!

Or just be like me and have awesome eyes raspberry

Because my glasses are really just for reading and computer use! If I wear them driving I would have an accident, I can’t even walk straight with them on. I have astigmatism in both eyes, its just worse in one.

It seriously amazes me that you dont know the difference between reading glasses and everyday/walking around glasses smirk

time to get a new script maybe Blizz. I feel your pain. I have those stupid multifocals. Cant work above my head cos they are upside down, find it hard to walk up and down steps on rocks etc, without looking right down at my feet. They mess with my head and I’ve been wearing them for years! I do wear contacts for snowboarding now though, long distance ones, so I still can’t read menus etc, but they work a treat for riding. Tell the optometrist your issues, they’ll work it out for you. cool smile

Absolutely devo that a month out of my trip to Europe my camera lens has well and truly shit itself and I have no spare $ to replace it wah

Have you thought about a repair??

Have you taken it to a camera shop?

If it’s an issue with the lens that you need fixed, send it directly to canon near Macquarie uni. A camera shop won’t be able to fix it. They will just do the same thing and charge you for the privilege. We have had lenses repaired there. Got a couple more to send off…. or maybe we’ll ditch them. They get a lot of use and no love.

I had the same problem.

they got rid of the multifocals for me. Life is much better without them.

Its werid though I don’t have that many problems with them spilting it down the middle (or whatever it is they did when they got rid of the multifocals)

My biggest problem when on the mountian is lack of light, thats why i usually have my low lights in all day everyday.

it cracks me up when other people ask me to read menu’s etc when they dont have their reading glasses. When my vision is techinally not corrected.

Is the Lasek surgery an option (if you have the money of course?) My grandfather and my cousin both had it and said it worked wonders.

Its only an option if your eyesight is stable for at least 2 years.

Mine is not :-( thats why i can’t have it.

Mine eyes are pretty much shot. The optometrist said that they are lasering eyes like mine now, but I should wait 10 years before I book in, they are still practicing really…....

My Grandfather had his done 10 years ago… if they’re still practising now, you’ll never get it done.

Plus its some crazy 95% successful rate and the other 5% just need to get it re-touched up.
