Pretty devo to have watched three people be taken away from gridiron yesterday in ambulances. One major concussion + spinal shock, another concussion and the last was a dislocated elbow.
Two are home, one still in hospital. Hopefully they all recover back to 100%!
It feels a bit small fry, but pretty devo I burnt my BW hoodie on the fire in the Hutt on Saturday night
Lucky YOU didn’t get burnt!

Ouch. Is that a local comp or higher?
I feel a bit like that with Rugby (Union) - was delighted when son #3 stopped playing and still sweating it on son #4. Both being front row the chance of spinal injury each time a scrum collapsed made me sick.
Cant fucking wait for September to end.
So far this month i have had to endure;
-The deaths of both my grandparents
-Breakdown of my relationship
-Cancellation of relocating to Whistler.Fuck September.
That’s some heavy stuff right there deano! Having lost my grandma earlier this year I know how much it sucks… And being two… That’s just cruel! hang in there.. It can only get better from here.. And hopefully thats all the bad stuff for a long time for you! *hugs*

Just the local womens comp here in Canberra. So many injuries this year which surprises me. Injuries in Gridiron normally come from poor technique, but from what I have seen it has been really good so far. Most are blaming the field, they may as well be playing on concrete.

That is not good. Poor thing :(
Hubby snapped his playing rugby, missed the next season (Japan) but was back on snow 9 months later for Southern season. He rode with an articulated knee brace for 2 years but then ditched it. Is as good as new.
You could probably ride in the knee brace 3 months out but hubby decided on a cautious approach.
Best of luck!
At least it is the end of the season!
Get it sorted quick smart and you will be back in shape in no time!
Yeah I know end of season, however had plans for Japan, Canada and Mommoth in the early new year….
Weirdest thing is that I have been riding on it for 2 weeks thinking it was a dislocated knee cap…. It hurts but hurts less when I ride than walk?
Even more reson to get the surgery ASAP.
All these people who have to wait for surgery or say there is a a wait list I find that if you say to the Dr i want it asap they fit you in.
Its usually the person being operated on that decline say the first slot offered and then thats when the waiting starts.
no ice in my maccas coke….........F the world and everyone in it!!!

I can NEVER understand how they fuck this up?
Devo that Dark has busted his shoulder after his brother took him out at Pleasant Valley! He has a tear in the tendon in his rotator cuff, a fragment floating in his shoulder, bursitis and from football, early onset arthritis. Poor thing!
