Oh I am.. even if it was my 2k excel I’d still be annoyed.. even though I would be way cheaper to fix..
I’m lucky enough to have a few friends in the car industry (a few spray painters and mechanics, and even have 2 friends that work for Mazda.. one being in spare parts… (who can order new stuff for me and do me a deal.)
Still money I shouldn’t need to spend..

You might find it could be cheaper and easier to go through insurance h0z (given i havnt seen the pics yet to assess the damage) but get some price ideas of what it will cost compared to insurance excess. Thats if you have full comp. The lifetime warranty on all repairs can be an awesome thing especially when bodywork and paint is needed.

Then you also lose your no claim bonus and could bump your premiums up in the future

Yeh It does.. If its under 1k I’ll just do it myself.. Which it should be.. Excess is 600 and then it UPS my premium etc. So not worth it imo.. There is no panel damage just needs repainting and a new light. I’ll jump on my laptop and add a pic,

the huge white streaks are just dirt and dust.. and they look worse than they are, there is paint gone on the back curve of the bumper and a bit below the light.. and orange paint or vinyl left on my paint and in the light..

But it did not affect me when my car was vandalized in Jindabyne.
I still have my no claim bonus after writing off my car last year too! (own fault)
