take a broom to sweep up the acorns before you try top speed.
Maybe i’ll bring a camera.
Haha, they’re the worst. god damn acorns.
Well i reckon if we go from yours into this city again we can top them out.
Take my gopros, and do the speed overlay thing you figured out agian.
Oh, and i found my stash of flat mounts as well. They we ing the bag with my dremel for some reason.
SaT4k5 and the case mould.

once again I find myself with a finished project and looking onward to the next one…
what should it be? 4X4? something bigger? something smaller?
Im not sure. any ideas?

You could do my skateboard if you really want to do something and waste your money for my benefit
Make a kickstarter and do it as a business haha.
If the packs blow up, it’s not under warranty
haha aside from my first ESC I havent had any more fail on me. I have over 100km on the board now with no failures.
Im the cursed one. Had 2 blow up randomly, and accidentally fried one through my own fault.
No issues since though *touch wood*
Still yet to do a propper ride on the new board.
Well I have been at it again. This time working on a more “polished” version of the Skate-A-Tron 4000. I have added an external charge port after deciding that i never actually remove the battery from the board anyway. I also installed bigger batteries for more range so replacement is even more unnecessary.
I tend to skate alot at night so lights is something that im working on at the moment.
got a little crew together for Go skateboarding day and went for a skate
(there is bad words in the audio track)
Was a good ride.
Shame we diddnt get a pic of giant Tony Abbott riding Petes board.
earlier I mentioned lights, but I haven’t yet put up any PICTURES.
Hey guys.. its been a while since I posted here, but I thought I would just check in and let you guys know I have been riding the Skate-A-Tron 4000 quite a bit, and I have clocked up well over 260km with no failures.
I also just got back from a skate where I basically went out with the intention to flatten my batteries and see how far I could go.
well the results are in and I managed to get 22km on one full charge.
With average cruising speed of 14.1km/h and a max of 29.9km/h
Im pretty happy with that result, I was thinking of chucking another battery pack in there but now I don’t think its needed.
woo 6000 views!
well after months of trouble free skate-a-tronning today I had a problem.
my carbon box has started to split at the bolt holes.
so this is the split (I added the washer after. it didnt help)
I made some quick modifications with whatever I could find
this random bracket surprisingly lasted the rest of the skate.
went home to start on the repairs, (you may notice my box has easily enough room for another pair of 8000mAh lipo’s although with the current 22km range I have never needed more.)
I got some small carbon fibre off cuts that were laying around and epoxy’d them on top and bottom of the split hole.
i’ll sand them down flush and re drill once the epoxy has set.
Just in case anyone was still wondering whats going on with the Skate-A-Tron 4000
well I’m still at it.
I skate to and from work whenever I can and have clocked up close to 800km.
here is another video I shot with a mate (who is not a skater) on New Years eve
