There’s been endless speculation about Chris Cole’s future following his departure from Zero Skateboards earlier this year. Well, it looks like he’s taken the first step towards starting his own company, with 666 ‘Chris Cole’ boards on sale through his website today. There’s no branding, except for Chris’ name, and the graphic itself is rather bland. Could we be looking at the beginning of ‘Chris Cole Skateboards’?
Interesting interview. It doesn’t sound like he’ll be creating a new brand but I guess time will tell. It wouldn’t surprise me if they use this as a test run to see what the demand is like. Who knows, maybe it it just a temporary solution as he says. Either way, I’ve always been a big fan of Chris Cole and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
