Snow average in March for Japan???

Hi all,

Been a long drink since my last post!

Just a quick gather an information for my friends planning go snow trip at Hakuba in Japan at middle of March
I told them not sure about powder snow condition available in middle march, seem like snow starting to melt down???

So anyone you had an experience in this middle of March, what does snow condition like?
