My mates got flights to Tokyo, no stop overs, with 40kg baggage each for $600 each!!
I hope they get sat next to big fat smelly people who are carrying crying babies!!!!
They are planning on being in Niseko tho, so they do have to make their way up, where as i’ll fly straight into Sap..
But STILL!
Oh well..
$600 is tempting… though I know it’s only to tokyo so add more to get to Sapporo…
I did a dummy run to see if the value is really that, and I reckon they could be embellishin the truth a little, Matty?????
I got around $900 with 30kg luggage, no meals, no entertainment, no seat selection, SYD > Tokyo (Narita) fly out feb 1st and back feb 28th!!!!! (Cheapest prices selected around those dates)
Yeah as TJ said, that won’t get them to Chitose, so they’ll have to get connection flights from Haneda Airport, so they’ll have to bus it over there!!!!! Then they’ll have to organise domestic connections with their 40kg luggage from Haneda > Chitose!!!!! (Unless they’re stayin on Honshu)
Plus flights from SYD to Tokyo have a Cairns stopover that leaves ya with a 4 Hour wait at Cairns!!!!! (Fark that)
No one wants to know how much I paid for flights this year… A fkn rip off!!! Left it too late. 800 more each pp than last year!!
$800 more than last year!!!!!
I did a dummy run for 30th jan - feb 14ish on the jetstar and got 2 people to tokyo for 1.2k not to bad, 600ea.
mind you i paid 1k each to chitose via HK with food and luggage so im still happy with that
Thats roughly what I paid via the same rout ^^^
I was thinking that Mizu, If they fly into Tokyo, they still have to get to Niseko with all their gear. They are planning on staying there until our winter, so you’d assume they’d have a fair bit of stuff! Probably worth paying that extra $$ to get straight to where you want to go!
I paid 1400 return to Tokyo, on Qantas so all extras like meals etc. Oh and it’s direct too.

Yeah, they’d be better off Takkyubin’n their gear up to their Accomo if they have a couple of days to look around Tokyo!!!!!
Be heaps cheaper than what the domestic baggage costs will be I reckon?????
And yeah, as I said before, there’s not a great deal of difference in prices by the time ya add on the “extras”, and sit on the Tarmac at Cairns for 4 hours!!!!! Plus JetStar has less legroom and smaller seats, so if ya big or slightly bigger built its just gonna be that little bit more sucker!!!!!
Get what ya pay for society these days!!!!!
jet star suck… for the last 4 years, I have taken Singapore Air to Japan (Osaka) via Singapore.
Much more convenient.
Not looking too good over there at the moment!!
Pray to the snow gods!!!!
It’ll turn it on soon!!!!!
Then as usual, it won’t stop!!!!!
one big storm, and there could be over a meter base within a few days..
looks promising from tuesday next week for some snow
