Got my quote from Mint Tours.
They got me accom for my hole trip and lift tickets sorted as well

22 nights accom, 22 days riding plus the Back Country tour:- $4000

Went and got some new boots yesterday, went with a pair of Nitro Ventures http://nitrousa.com/boots/venture-tls
Super comfy. And got them at a bargain price and met a bunch of crew heading on the tour to Japan!

Well, thanks for the suggestion of whistles!
PB has a full pack, we’ve both got Peips, I’ve got a backpack that requires a shovel and probe (I’ll buy them over there due to weight restrictions on Cathay.
And I just ordered another 7 Fox40s - the gold standard in referee whistles - pealess.  shaka
I’m sure my non referees will be confused at first, but I’ll feel happier knowing they’ve got them this trip.

Just in regards to falling over in deep snow (or being caught in a tree well) — other than staying calm and waiting for rescue, one of the best things you can do is carry an easily accessible safety whistle. Using a whistle to call for help saves a lot of energy and can be heard over much greater distances, considerably increasing your chances of rescue. It only costs a few dollars and is small enough to ride with.

DC Jackets used to have them as standard accessory!!!!!
