Article on YES snowboards new factory in Dubai
http://www.yesnowboard.com/why-wouldnt-you-make-snowboards-in-dubai/
Thanks for sharing the article, finney. I completely agree with everything they said. I actually know one of the two founders of SWS in Dubai — a legend in the industry who goes by the name of George Cant. I had a long chat to him quite recently and it’s really incredible what they are doing over there. These guys have a wealth of experience and knowledge (George designed many award-winning boards for leading brands). Anyway, I think this is a great fit and I can see what the SWS factory in Dubai appealed to them.
Plus, YES is offering the only lifetime warranty in the business. YES is a rider-driven brand that stands 100% behind its product. Can’t argue with that.
i wonder if thats my 420 in one of those pics?!
Although it’s sad that Elan is closed, I think it’s great that people in the industry is looking for alternatives.
I know that part of it is because snowboarding uptake is peaking, but that’s okay as the industry is starting to sort itself out a little.
Plus a lifetime warranty is awesome too. Can’t go wrong with that.
