How durable is the goggle’s strap?

Recently got myself an Anon Raider M sized helmet to protect my noggin while looking like a doofus. I noticed that I needed to use the most relaxed setting on my Smith Prophecy goggles to be able to fit it on the helmet and even then it’s kinda hard to clasp the two ends of the straps together. I’m afraid that the strap will become undone or snap if I keep this up.

Smith goggles with the clip really aren’t optimal for use with a helmet. When I had smith goggles I used them with their helmet helper which gives it more length and turns the strap back into the more traditional non clip type.
