Jeremy Flores Roasts J-Bay Judges.

Avatar

Jeremy Flores is awaiting a ruling from the ASP Disciplinary Committee after having a public meltdown in the judging tower at J-Bay after his heat with Sebastian Zietz Worse still, it’s a decision that could boot J-Flo off tour for 2015 – if he’s suspended from upcoming events.

J-Flo lost his round two heat to Sebastian Zietz at the J-Bay Open in the closing minutes. Seabass narrowly took the lead with two minutes to go, J-Flo applauded the judges’ score (sarcasm noted Jeremy) and needed an attainable 6.07, but a closeout barrel ended it and he paddled to the keyhole in a righteous fury. Then he ran up the beach, threw his board on the deck and continued to get all nasty in the judges quarters. He had an opinion to share, fuelled by a number of close heats not going his way this year, but his choice of words was reportedly flavoursome.

He’s been suspended until August 27. I have no real opinion because they won’t tell us exactly what happened, it was obviously stupid but he’s clearly a pretty passionate guy. If things got physical then I can certainly agree with the punishment.

Yeaaahhh, ummm… This isnt Jeremy’s first time in the hot the seat though.. Yes ok, he was wayyyy underscored in his heat and should of got the win against Seabass, but as a professional sportsman/role model theres a line you dont cross which he did.

As frustrating as it is for J-Flo, i think he got a hand down that was a little harsh, missing both Tahiti and the US Open along with the 6k fine.

Im sure in any other sport if this had happened the penalty would of been A LOT harsher..

Hopefully Jeremy gets some good results in the Prime events and the rest of the WCT.

We love ya Jeremy! (Not you rider) Haha wink
